Tuesdat Nice

What a beautiful day God made for us. Enjoyed every minute of it.

I sliffed off yesterday and didn't Bolg, got lazy.

Went back and called some of the leads we got from the P M Dialer still just the same old song and dance of the answering machine. Those I had e mails for put one out to them.

Not much going on in my world, been trying to get rid of gophers out at the place. Spoiled dog and I have been doing out walks in the morning and evening.

Saturday Cold

The wind came through about 1 AM this morning 40 mph sustained and 50 mph gusts. Down to 26 and it felt cold.

Didn't get blog in yesterday. Had to go watch the kids play basketball for Regional title. They lost but not without a fight.

I had bought some leads back when MPM gave us one for every two we bought. I have been working some of them the last week or so. Still not much luck but have met some interesting people. E mailed some of them today and called two on a follow up. I will take some more next week and work them.

Thursday O. K.

About the lady in the nursing home. She was using her room mates phone. She doesn't have a phone of her own nor a computer of her own. She is really not capable of doing the things necessary to have even a personal mall. Where is she to get her down line? No I think I made the right choice, I can sleep at night knowing I didn't put an elderly person at risk.

Took on some more leads today and called the ones from the other day. Sent out e mails to those I didn't get to talk to.

Wednesday Training

We had to go to Odessa today for 8 hours of Ombudsman training. Long day but we learned a lot.

Didn't get as much done today as I wanted but it will work out. Got some contacts at the meeting. They were people interested in the care of residents in Nursing Homes.

Did some e mails when I got home.

Might not look like a productive day but to me it was O K.

Tuesday Doctors

Sorry I didn't make my blog yesterday. Wasn't able to get to a computer.

Had to carry Minnie to the eye doc today. She is fine. Just a check up.

Called some leads I had purchased and talked with them. Had one lady that wanted to sign up. I was all hopped up until I talked to her more. She is in a rest home and only has $60.00 per month the state allows her to keep from her Social Security. The main thing she needed was someone to talk to. I talked her out of signing up and promised her I would call her once in awhile. We were on the phone well over an hour. Missed a mall but made a friend and I fell good about it.

Did a few of the old leads and contacts. Still some good sounding answering machines.

Friday Windy

We had to go to Brownwood today and help Minnies brother. He has demicha and is nearly wheel chair bound. Stoped in Ballinger and Millersview and cleaned cementary lots. Not bad but sure windy.

Picked up some leads in Brownwood at the Tractor Supply.

Ya'll have a good night and have happy dreams. Hug them younguns first though. Then plant a bug hug on your spouse.

Thursday Funeral

Went to a funeral today. Took up most of the time. One of those you can walk away from and say well done.

Did some follow ups with answering machines. You know I think I am actually making friends with some of them.

Not much to report today. Sorry.

Tuesday Warm Great Day.

Started out cold and windy today. Buy lunch it was getting to where you could go without a coat.
Got into the lower 70's after lunch.

Minnie and I went and took the test to be a census taker. Had 28 questions on it and 30 minutes to answer them. Both of us passed but it was harder than I expected. Done got to old to take tests.

Picked up some leads today and worked on old contacts. No brass ring but still on the merry go round trying to hook it.

Get a good nights sleep and hug your children. Don't forget to count your blessings. Tess tell Big Z good night for me.

Monday Cold and Damp

What a dreary day. It was cold and damp with the wind about 20 mph.

Went to the nursing home today to make our checkup. Found everything in good order. They had admitted a new resident and we got to meet some of the family. Enjoyed learning some information about the new resident.

Made some contacts today and did some e mails. Finally got to talk to a live person. She said she was just not interested in MPM. We talked for several minutes then I let her go. It was clear she wanted no part of MPM. Her loss.

Wild Party at My House

Thought you might like something a little different tonight. HOW TRUE IT IS Another year has passed And we're all a little older. Last summer felt hotter And winter seems much colder. I rack my brain for happy thoughts, To put down on my pad, But lots of things, That come to mind Just make me kind of sad. There was a time not long ago When life was quite a blast. Now I fully understand About 'Living in the Past'. We used to go to friends homes, Baseball games and lunches. Now we go to therapy, to hospitals, And after-funeral brunches. Saturday Cold

Well it is one day past Boot Camp and here I am filling out a blog. I am going to try and continue with it and hope some of the others do to.

Hope all of you had a Big Red Heart Day. I played it safe and got Minnie a box of candy and a card. I may be crazy but I ain't no fool, I have to live in this house. All jokes aside this has been a great day for Minnie and myself.

Worked on contacts and did some e mails and answering machines today. Saturday is just not a good day for people to be bothered.

Alright guys grab your loved one give her a great big hug and warn tender kiss, then tell her how much you love her.

Friday Last Day

Well this is it. No more Boot Camp. It will be a relief but a sad one to. Made both the calls today and learned a lot about the people who went through the Boot Camp.

Made my contacts today and had a blast doing it. Seemed like the people were just waiting to be told about MPM.

This will be short. Thank you Ginny, Jackie, Tess and all the other Boot Campers. You have been a blessing to me.

Thursday Next to Last Day

Wow time has gotten away from us. We have one day lsft for Boot Camp/ Seems sad in one way but joyful in another. Talked to lots of great people since all this started. Things want be the same not listening to the calls. Heard some interesting stories on those calls.

I made the AM call but I am going to try and make the PM call so I can have a chance to talk to Mr. Z. Not sure it will work out but hopefully it will.

Made my contacts today and did some e mailing. Got several answering machines. One thing about it the machines had a pleasant voice and would talk to you.

If you can't hug your family at least tell them how much you love them. Count your blessings.

Wednesday Clean up yard day

Gracious, the wind sure made a mess. Tree limbs, paper , cans, balls you name it and I think it was in our yard.

Made the AM call and enjoyed it. Sounds as though things are starting to fall in place for some of the NPO's. Great job.

Got my contacts today with a little help from a clerk at the Town & Country. I had stopped to talk to a friend and got to talking to the clerk. She liked the MPM concept and wanted to know more about it. We talked for awhile then she got on the phone and called her daughter and a friend to come listen to what I had to say. It went well I thought.

Two more days until Boot Camp is over. Have mixed feelings about that. Chalk it up as another chapter on my road of life.

Tuesday Windy

The wind has been awful today. Gusts to 70 mph steady at 50 mph.

Got my contacts today, but sure didn't want to get out in the wind. One lady was trying to put gas in her car so I offered to do it for her. After I was through she went in to pay and we dot to talking and I told her about MPM and how she could have saved money on the gas purchase. She took the info and card, we'll see what happens.

Did some follow up calls and e mails, not to many fish in the pond today. have to try new lure tomorrow.

Monday Got Rain

Very nice day, no it was a great day. We got 1 inch of rain last night. That was the first since September.

Got my contacts today, and worked on my leads and e mails. Dead end but who knows the next one may hit pay dirt.

Friday 7 No Pay Day

Hello Friday Fans. Got the weekend to do a little fixing up. Heater still giving fits. Had to go get parts for it.

Had a good talk on the Radio this morning. Going to have to bust my buns this next 7 days. Will live up to my commitment or bust a gut trying.

Got my contacts today. Had to run ro San Angelo this afternoon for heater parts. Got 2 while I was in line to get my material. Stopped and got gas and the cashier was interested along with a customer. Before I got in my vehicle I talked to a lady putting gas in her car.

Thursday Sunny & Windy

Made the Radio show this morning. L talked about the mess I have. I hope I didn't sound out of place. I hope someone that heard me will see that you cam make life what you want it to be. Enough about this old fool.

Got my contacts today, There were 7 motor homes parked at the museum this morning. I went in and got to talking to the people and got all my contacts there.

Did some follow up e mails and calls this afternoon.

Wednesday Great Warm Day

Had a great morning, on my morning walk Fee Bee (spoiled dog) and I came across a MAMA cotton tail and her 3 little one. Enjoyed watching them Fee Bee layed down and the MAMA got within about 3 feet of her. Can't beat nature.

Made the call this morning but had to leave early due to a minor problem. Learned several things I can put to good use.

Got my contacts today, we had to go to Midland and pick up Minnie's meds. Stopped at plumbing supply place and got to talking to a customer then had 2 sales clerks join in. Next stop was HEB for milk and bread, talked to one lady and she wanted it for her daughter. While in line to pick up the meds I talked to a few people.

All in all it was wonderful day.

Tuesday Warm & Sunny

Caught the A M call today. We talked about how you are the one that sets the tone for your day, God gave it to you and it is up to you to make the best of it. Gracious don't stick your head in the sand and whine. For one thing it doesn't help and nobody is going to listen anyway. Always try to find the bright side of things, the dark will jump out anyway.

Got my contacts today while I was visiting the nursing home. Got some staff and relatives of the residents. Made some follow up calls drew a blank.

Monday Great Day

I think I missed something. Went to the Blog talk radio this morning nothing, Must be tonight.

Got my contacts today. Had it's ups and downs but alright.

Worked on old contacts and leads nothing.

Friday No Pay Day

Took part in the Radio talk this morning. I could hear Jacki on the phone but the computer was playing yesterdays show. I thought it was a live show? I must have done something wrong.

Got my contacts today. One lady had heard about MPM but didn't know what it stood for. I just unloaded on her with the whole 9 yards. She seemed interested but you never know.

Had to carry my pick-ups radiator to Midland to have it fixed. The lady at the counter was a very good contact. She ask a lot of questions.

Thursdat Much Warmer

This was a much more enjoyable day.

Slid into the Blog Talk Radio Show. Seemed to go pretty well. As time goes by and people get more comfortable with it. I think you will see a difference in how they get involved.

Got my contacts today. Little harder today. Didn't have a bunch in one area.

It went well though.

Wednesday 10 degree morning

Had to carry my wife to the doctor this morning in San Angelo. Left at 7AM 10 degrees and ice on the road. God guided our car and we made it just fine.

Got my contacts today. One lady was from my home town of Ballinger. Got to talk about the old stomping grounds and things we did as kids. The others were employees of the hospital.

All in all a great day.

Tuesday Cold Cold

I stayed in today , high was 27 and low was 16. Had ice on roads, so I stayed by the fire.

Called and e mailed contacts and leads. No luck but had fun doing it.

Monday Surprise

What a surprise this fine Monday morning. All of us thought this was the last week for Boot Camp, then Ginny tells us we have three weeks to go. Like some of the others I have made plans to do other things. Will have to think about this for awhile. I said I would finish this and probably will. Just don't like getting surprises like that.

Had agreat day other wise. Called some of the old leads I had before Boot Camp. I had just the same amount of luck as before. Did some e mails to old contacts. Talked to a lady in Big Lake with the Food Bank, have to meet with her this week.

Friday and no pay day.

Had a fast paced day. Had two skunks out buy the tractor and old pick up. Our little dog liked to have set them off, but thank God she didn't. Took about an hour and a half to get them to where I could shoot them.

Got my contacts for today. One lady was interested in the NPO part. They do horse rides for children with special needs.

Called some of the leads and emailed more of the old contacts.

Thursday 81 Degrees

Had a great day. Went and visited a nursing home today. Really enjoyed the residents. I haven't been since we started boot camp and it felt great to listen to them tell their stories and concerns.

Got my contacts today and talked to the nursing home director about MPM. We are to get together next week.

Followed up on some of the older contacts, call and e mail, not much luck. Tried calling the leads and was met with no answer or a machine.

Shutting down one glorious headache.

Wednesday Long Day

Well back to the drawing board. I will have to start back over on my contacts and get them an e mail once a week just keeping them updated. They might come around in the future and being one of my best go getters/

I will go back over the live leads and see what can be culivated from them

Got my contacts today. Had a long meeting then we went grocery shopping and was able to meet some nice people.

Tuesday New President

Odd day, watched part of the goings on in Washington for awhile then had to tend to other business.

Called some of the leads back today. The one lady that had wanted a call back was not able to get to the web site yet. Had her daughter take down the url again to make sure she had it right. I will follow up with her later. The others were no answers. BAH- Hum - Bug.

Got my contacts today, had to go to Big Lake but at least I got them. Just stood around a quick stop and talked to people as the went in.

Not much else going on. Have to cut it short today, have a hospital board meeting.

Monday Great Day

I have had a great day. I went and talked to the school personal. They liked what they saw in the presentation. They are not sure if they can do it or not. Their auditor is coming to the school board meeting this month and he is going yo look at the presentation. After he has view the presentation he should be able to tell them if the can do MPM or not.

Got my contacts today and called several of the old ones. There were no answers and machines. I think I am going to dump all the old contacts and start fresh this next two weeks,

My Goals

In the next 2 weeks I intend to get back out there and get a whole new set of contacts. I will probably discard the old ones. Calling and e mailing them has produced no results. Most have wound up saying they are not interested in MPM.

I have some of the leads I'm going to work on but the only one I have hope for lives on the East Coast. I have to call her tomorrow at 11 AM CST.

My main goal is to sign up at least one WCM and one NPO before Boot Camp ends. I may or may not get it done but it won't be because I didn't try.

The other goal is to have a positive attitude for the rest of the Campers and encourage them on however I can.

I'm not disapointed that I didn't do better because I know I gave it a good run for the money but just failed to make the touch down. As in all things in life you win some and loose some. I didn't loose since I met a lot of great people I wouldn't have met other wise, And learned you have to keep on keeping on.

Sunday Not Good

Took some calls for leads today, was not a very promising set of calls. You have Mom's and Dad's filling the survey out for their kids. Not good. Other people just wont talk when they pick up.

Short and sweet tonight. I'm tired and disgusted, ready to throw up hands and say to heck with it. Won't do that though.

Saturday Butter and Egg aay

Got off to a great start tody, didn't last long but was good while it lasted. I got three contacts right off the bat this morning while I was walking our dog. Car had a flat on it and the three ladies were trying to figure out how to change it. While I was changing the tire I talked about MPM and how it could save them some money. They took my card and said they would see what is all about.

Had some leads today but the wasn't much to report. Got to leave one message and rest was a no answer. Called some of the earlier leads I hadn't been able to get a hold of but still no answer. Don't know if I like caller I D or not.

Last contact was getting gas and we struck up a conversation. One thing led to another and I got to tell him about MPM.

Friday Not to cold

Had a really great day. Got my contacts and had time left. Wind was blowing pretty hard and people were staying in. The 4 H stock show is this week end so I will try and see if anyone is interested in a WCM.

Mm contacts were all pretty well into the MPM theme today. One lady had a tub of question, I think I answered right. Didn't go out on a limb. Might get cut off.

Followed up on some of the contacts not much luck. Called some of the leads from yesterday and had a positive response from a Police Officer. He liked the NPO and would use it for the Polcemen's Fund. He was at work and is going to talked to his wife and get back with me. If they don't call I will call them.

Didn't get an anaswe from the others, left a message and told them I would call back.

Thursday Cold and Windy

Not to bad a day got my contacts in a reasonable time. Then headed home where it was warm. The contacts were all bundled up but took the time to listen and take the information.

Called and e mailed yesterday;s contacts. No answer at some , one of the e mail's came back not able to deliver. Will check and make sure I have it down right.

Got a hold of the Superendent at the school today have to meet at 11 am Monday. she wanted to see what it was all about.

Called some leads to night not much going on with them. One hung up before I even got started good. Called her back and got couple more words in before she hung up again. One didn't speak English,gotta call 2 back tomorrow.

Wednesday Great Day

Had a great day, got my contacts faitly early and was able to work on other stuff. The contacts were a little gun shy at first but all of them took time to listen to what I had to say. Felt positive about one, she seemed really interested.

Went back and called three of the leads that didn;t answer yesterday . One lady had just got in from work but listened to the presentation. She would not give out her e mail address but took down the MPM web address. Said it would be this weekend before she would look at it. Ask me to call her Monday eveningabout same time.

Next one ask me to call back tomorrow he had been through the wringer today and just didn't want to talk tonight. Said he liked what he saw and wanted to talk more about it.

Last one hung up on me last night but tried him again anyway. When he answered he started wth some foul language then said he didn't want to date me. I told him darling I don't want to date you I just want to help you find finanical sucess in a home based business. He paued for a second then said man I was just pulling your leg and said he was sorry. Said he was not interested in a home based business. I told him that was great I would respect his wishes. He then said man your good not many people shut me up but you got me good, I like that. Before it was over he tool the MPM address and my e mail. Told him if he ever was interested give me a call or an e mail.

E mailed some of the older contacts still no luck.

Tuesday Not Best Day

I don't know how to describe today. It was one of those that if it could go wrong it would and it did.
Neighbor lady had a water leak and it took a long time to fix it. Then old pick up was orny and wouldn't start. Just one thing after another.

Didn't get my contacts today just wasn't enough hours in the day. Stayed around computer from 4 PM until 10 PM waiting on leads. While I was waiting I called some of my old contacts and e mailed some no luck. Talked to Well Supply Business from McCamey over the phone. Know him pretty well wants me to get over and talk to him about MPM.

This is one of those days that makes you want to throw up your hands and say to heck with it. Can't start thinking like that though or it will get me down. Gotta reach and get a little lower on the boot strap.

Monday I Think

What a day it was busy as a one legged man in a behind kicking contest. Had heater problems but got that fixed. Made the call this morning, then worked on car.

Had leads to work with, one is in Denver and have to get back to him tomorrow, a lady in Missouri ask me to call back tomorrow. Had one that had their own home based business but I won't tell you what kind. One of the people said they did not fill out the survey, and one hung up on me.

Not to bad a day no one cussed me out or threatened to shot me so I feel pretty lucky.

Did not have time to go out and get the five contacts today. I did do some follow up calls and e mails. It doesn't look as though I made muck headway but I think it was alright. There were no sign ups but that will come.

Friday O Boy

Hey I had a great day, but then again all days are great if you want them to be. Enjoyed the call this morning learned a few things.

Got my 5 today fairly easy. Had one gentleman that was talking about his Business and I told him about the business listing page and he seemed a little interested. He kept asking how many hits he would get off the MPM site. I told him that was impossible to predict an exact amount but the price was right. Wanted to know if people clicked on his site would it carry them to his home page, I was truthful and told him I just couldn't answer that at the present time. I will have to talk to Miss Jacki and finf out the answer.

The other 4 were nice ladies I talked to. One was interested because of the non profit part. She works with the Midland SPCA. One lady was a clerk in the shoe department at Dillard's and her charity was the youth at her church. I explained how she could sign up and then get her church under her for free.

Talked to four young people at a wireless phone sales booth. Two of them didn't have a com[uter, the other two gave me their e mail address. I told the other two they could go to the library and use theirs until they could get on their feet. One young man wasn't sure if he could to the library.

You know we are all better off than we deserve. Thank You Lord

Thursday

Listening to the call this morning was an eye opener. I have dilly dallyed around and now I need to get after it.

They were talking about the new leads and the people saying they hadn't signed up for anything like that is just typical. I bought some leads from the back office and you get the same thing there. A teenager will fill out the info then a parent gets wind of it and puts a halt to it. The one most often used is that person doesn't live here or you have the wrong number.

Got my leads today and did some follow up. Not much success. One lady wanted to sign up but her husband said no, so that ended that. Don't understand some people but we are not all susposed to be alike.

Great Wednesday

Listened to the phone call yesterday and this morning and makes me feel a lot better. Still running behind but things are looking up.

Got my contacts today wasn't easy but all things in life aren't suposed to be. Got names and e mails no phone numbers but that is better than what has been happening. One man was very reluctant to talk about the mall at first but got into it after a little bit. Not sure how he will respond but he left in high hopes.

Called a few old contacts to day, not much response. Sent out several e mails. Still haven't gotten my letter written.

All in all it was a good day.

January 6th Cold and Windy

Didn't get my 5 today,but contacted some old contacts. I have to call one back in 2 weeks , she thought a grand baby was more important. Don't blame her.

Had 2 that were on the verge but just not quite sure yet. Will get back to them in a couple of days.

I haven't gotten my letter written yet. Just won't come to me on what to say. Start one then erase it. Think I have some timers or some thing. Will see if the other alternates are having the same problem tomorrow night.

Been closing out two business for income tax and makes it a little slow.
